Pro Tools 7.4cs2 Updates for all 7.4 Systems

Pro Tools 7.4cs2 updates for all Pro Tools 7.4 systems are vailable for download from the Pro Tools CS Updates page:

These updates don’t always fix everything, sometimes they make things worse.

Details of the CS2 update:

In addition to previous items from Pro Tools 7.4cs1, the following fixes are included in Pro Tools 7.4cs2:

All Pro Tools HD, LE, M-Powered (Mac and Windows)

Fixed: Track Color Coding Saturation Was Not Adjustable (Item #94474)

• Functionality is now the same as in Pro Tools 7.3.x

Fixed: Opening a Session with an RTAS Version of Dynamics III Could Result in a Burst of Noise (Item #99562)

• This problem was intermittent, and would not occur when using TDM versions of Dynamics III

What did you get for Christmas?

This month I bought a bunch of music stuff for myself, I thought I’d share.

1. Ibanez SR500 Bass – I traded in my Warwick Rockbass Corvette basic for this at L&M and paid the extra $300. This is such a sweet bass and sounds great for anything from funk to metal.
2. Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver DI – got a mint condition used one at the end of November but had to wait until Christmas to try it out. Well worth the wait.
3. Monster Standard 100 series instrument cables – I bought myself a pair of these cables (with staff discount) to replace my failing Planet Waves cables.
4. Kenny Gioia’s Pro Tools Tips & Tricks Volume 2 – They were on sale, I couldn’t resist any longer. Just when I think I know everything about Pro Tools, Kenny surprises me with one of his tricks.

Computer Trouble

I’m having a terrible time with my computer this week. I’ve got a couple of viruses or corrupted system files and its freezing several times a day. Stuff like kill.xls.exe showing up in the task manager, I can’t get rid of it.

I’m going to have to reinstall Windows XP, all my music stuff. But first I have to back everything up somehow. This is not going to be fun.
